Drytech Releases NEW 316 Stainless Steel Tank Vent Dryers
DRYTECH is proud to announce its launch of NEW Tank Vent Dryers made of 316 stainless steel to withstand the harshest environments for years. This new design is compatible with almost any stored fluid, such as, sulfuric acids, biodiesels, diesels, ethanol, hydrochloric acid, lube oils, glycerol, polyalcohols, polyethers, acetic acids, jet fuels, petrol, and other fluids.

Model 730 Tank Vent Dryer
NEW Drytech Tank Vent Dryers set the standard for moisture and contamination control in fuel storage and fluid system protection
“NEW DRYTECH TANK VENT DRYERS SET THE STANDARD FOR FLUID SYSTEM AND FUEL STORAGE PROTECTION FROM WATER AND PARTICULATE CONTAMINATION”

Over the past several years, there has been a growing emphasis on industrial plant operations & maintenance costs. Many industrial plants use large storage tanks or reservoirs to hold their sensitive fluids, such as oils, fuels, biodiesels, sulfuric acids, brake fluids, and much more. These storage tanks are often in placed outside in remote areas and are susceptible to moisture contamination. Unfortunately, many industrial plants suffer from moisture contamination and spend thousands of dollars cleaning and repairing their tank, not to mention the dilution of the product being stored.
As pressure, temperature, or fluid level changes occur within a storage tank, the tank will either inhale or exhale air. During inhale, a tank will ingest moist atmospheric air which over time will corrode the tank or dilute the fluid inside with water. Many of the fluids, lubricating oils, and fuels being stored are hygroscopic, which means they attract moisture.
Drytech Tank Vent Dryers, also referred to as, Tank Vent Breathers, are used to protect storage tanks and reservoirs from moisture and particulates entering their system. Instead of moist atmospheric air entering the tank, the air will flow through the Tank Vent Dryer, filtering out all moisture down to less than 100 PPM, leaving clean dry air to flow inside the tank. This clean dry air less than 100 PPM can actually begin to remove moisture from within the tank contents, which is an absolutely vital dynamic in ensuring the best quality product to the end user.

Drytech Tank Vent Dryers are available in many sizes, ranging from hanging wall mounted models, to very large floor mounted models with easy desiccant emptying and fill ports. Some of the benefits of Tank Vent Dryers include:
- Extend the life of fuels, chemicals, fluids, oils and biodiesel.
- Minimize product dilution, viscosity loss and repairs due to moisture or particulates
- Minimize polymer breakdown, increased corrosivity, and freezing due to moisture
- Maintain targeted ISO cleanliness codes
- Eliminate tank corrosion & costly repairs due to moisture
Drytech ZEOZORB desiccant transformer breathers exceed ASTM D-1533 specification of moisture content of lubricating oil
“NEW ZEOZORB DESICCANT TRANSFORMER BREATHERS FOR PROTECTION OF CONSERVATOR TANKS, TRANSFORMER COMPONENTS AND LUBRICATING OILS FROM WATER AND PARTICULATE CONTAMINATION”
Drytech Inc., a manufacturer of moisture control systems for the Aerospace & Defense industry, is proud to announce the launch of its ZEOZORB desiccant transformer breathers for long term fluid protection against moisture and particulate contamination.
The failure or malfunction of many transformers or similar equipment can be directly linked to a lack of proper control of moisture entering the equipment. It is vital to ensure a low level of humidity is maintained within the air space of the conservator tank. Any moisture present will deteriorate the properties of the cooling medium and can cause costly equipment downtime.
Transformer breathers provide an economic and efficient means of controlling the level of moisture entering the conservator tank during pressure, temperature, or fluid level changes. Currently, the industry standard is to use a Silica Gel transformer breather to filter out moisture before it enters your equipment; however Silica Gel’s performance is limited, very limited. Silica Gel can barely achieve 150 PPM, and it only can do so in very narrow temperature band. The graph below illustrates how Silica Gel’s performance drops off drastically as temperatures increase, whereas, ZEOLITES performance stays constant, even in high temperature environments.
In addition, a new ASTM D-1533 specification was just released which states that conservator tank lubricating/insulating oils should be kept below 35 ppm (parts per million) moisture. This specification may appear to be very aggressive, but for good reason, moisture within lube oils can cause dielectric loss, mold growth, arcing, voltage breakdown, and more.
In order to meet this specification, ZEOZORB transformer breathers should be used. Drytech’s ZEOZORB Transformer breathers use a unique ZEOLITE desiccant which provides the maximum in performance and life. Our ZEOZORB breathers exceeded the ASTM D-1533 spec of less than 35 ppm in all of our tests.
In addition to this extremely low PPM level, we discovered that keeping the free air volume above the lube oil extremely dry will actually liberate moisture within lubricating oil itself. This dynamic is vital to the end user as it can possibly alleviate the need for using expensive vacuum dehydration systems and instead use a low cost transformer breather which over time will condition the lube oil to acceptable PPM levels. Please feel free to contact, Cliff Jones, [email protected] for additional information on our transformer breathers and test reports.

- Maintain ISO cleanliness codes
- Exceed ASTM D-1533 specification of moisture content
- Lower operations & maintenance costs
- Extend MTBF
- Maximize adsorption in ANY environment
- Prevent costly equipment downtime
- Increase lubricant performance and life
Drytech’s ZEOZORB desiccant air breathers protect E85 gasoline, race fuels and performance lubricants from moisture contamination
“NEW ZEOZORB DESICCANT AIR BREATHERS FOR PROTECTION OF RACE FUELS, ETHANOL FUELS, AND LUBRICATING OILS FROM WATER AND PARTICULATE CONTAMINATION”
Drytech Inc., a manufacturer of moisture control systems for the Aerospace & Defense industry, is proud to announce the launch of its ZEOZORB desiccant air breathers for long term fluid and fuel protection against moisture and particulate contamination.
Contaminant prevention has always been a concern within the fluid system industry and one of the commonly overlooked contaminants is water. The availability of race fuels and E85 ethanol fuels are hard to come by at gas stations, and end users often purchase 55 gallon drums or 5 gallon totes to store their precious race fuels or E85. Often during storage, contaminants will enter a drum or tote as pressure, temperature, or fluid level changes occur. In areas of high temperature and humidity, often higher levels of water will enter the container and contaminate the fuel. To prevent harmful contaminants from entering equipment a ZEOZORB desiccant air breather should be used. ZEOZORB desiccant air breathers are easily fitted on top of storage drums or totes, and filter our moisture and particulates BEFORE it enters your race fuel, E85 or lubricating oils.
Ethanol is an extremely hydroscopic (attracts water) fluid which should be properly stored and maintained. Water is often introduced during handling, storage, and distribution. A small portion of water is soluble in E85 and race gas, but at higher concentrations, the gasoline portion will separate from the ethanol/water mixture and reduce the quality of the fuel and ultimately lose power for the end user.
Maintaining the quality of race fuels and ethanol fuels can be a daunting task, but with a ZEOZORB desiccant air breather, maximizing your fuel quality is easier than ever. Not only do ZEOZORB desiccant air breathers prevent contaminants from entering your fuel, but they will actually liberate moisture within the fuel itself. This is a vital dynamic and cost savings potential as many fuels often are filtered through expensive dehydration systems AFTER contaminants have been introduced. ZEOZORB desiccant air breathers are the first line of defense and prevent contaminants from entering in the first place. ZEOZORB desiccant air breathers are designed to replace breather caps or air filters on:
– Fuel storage tanks – 55 gallon drums – 330 gallon totes – Hydraulic fluid reservoirs – Oil drums – Fuel drums
